I've noticed a trend in my life lately: God is refining me. So I've changed the name of the blog from just plain old Reflections: to, Reflections of Refinement. Somehow it seems to fit right now.
So here's another video from the night I'll henceforth call "The Best Birthday Ever." After the band, my fellow missionaries came down and went all night Karaoke with me. (mostly co-workers from Tokyo, but one girl did come down from Niigata. Now that's some serious karaoke love!) Yes, I love all night Karaoke. It is wonderful. I took some videos. If I had known they were going to turn out so well, I would have taken more, but this is all you get. It was a lot of fun and the people were wonderful. Just a disclaimer, I totally made up the nicknames at the end of the video. So you can sue me if you don't like them. ;-) (just claiming responsibility...) There are some pictures up at my web albums page too if you want to head over there to check them out.
I came to Japan as a missionary about 5 years ago. I have finished my term of service (plus a few extra) and decided to stay longer in Japan. I am currently an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher)working in a pubic Jr. High School. I come from the great state of Texas. I enjoy many things and have a wide range of interests. Most of all, I want to serve God. After that I pursue my interests on a first come, first served basis. I enjoy being weird and different. I strive to exercise my imagination and creativity. I have more opinions than is entirely healthy for any one person, and I am more than willing to share them. My sense of humor is odd, and leans heavily towards sarcasm. I have been called a nutbar. Randomness is a way of life. Yes, I am strange. But God loves me anyways.
